Tashkent pharmacies caught overcharging for medicines up to sixfold

Specialists from the committee documented instances of price gouging during control inspections using the "mystery shopper" method. In particular, a pharmacy operated by SHUNQORLAR LLC sold Convulex drops for 395,000 soums against the established limit of 66,481 soums (almost 6 times higher), while Polymik was sold for 70,000 soums instead of 12,837.18 soums. At a pharmacy operated by MUNO FARM LLC, Stimuloton tablets were priced at 295,000 soums instead of the mandated 50,666.17 soums.

Overcharging for the drug Bactamed was recorded at CITY FARM LLC, which sold the medication for 63,000 soums instead of 18,849.43 soums, and at AMIR FARM TRADE LLC, which priced it at 32,000 soums by applying a 100% markup instead of the allowed 20%. A pharmacy run by HOSIL FARM LLC charged 190,000 soums for Lantus SoloStar instead of the permitted 115,173.3 soums, while Slideron tablets were offered for 349,000 soums against a limit of 115,677.1 soums. Exceeding ceiling prices for No-Spa was uncovered at branches of CITY FARM, LEADER PHARMGROUP PE, PHARM S GOLDEN LLC, and RUSLAN BUYUK FARM LLC.

Following the revealed violations, the antimonopoly committee issued binding orders. Materials and inquiries have been forwarded to licensing authorities to review the entities' compliance with licensing requirements.
