Clinics warned of fines for promising full recovery in advertising

According to the regulator, promotions of medical services have recently often included phrasing such as "cure the disease forever," "heal in three days," "completely safe," and claims that there are no side effects. The agency reminded that Article 16 of the Law "On Advertising" prohibits phrasing that misleads consumers, denies contraindications, or guarantees recovery. Organizations are also prohibited from advertising areas of practice not specified in their license.

Improper advertising is punishable by a fine of 70 BCV, and any damage caused to the consumer must be reimbursed in full. The agency stated that it will continue systematic monitoring of advertising materials.

The warning followed a rise in complaints: since the beginning of 2026, the committee has registered over 900 appeals in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, which is nearly double the figure for the same period last year. Following their review, clients received recalculations of over 300 million soums for goods and services. At the same time, the agency did not provide the exact share of complaints related directly to advertising.
