Decree: Ministry of Education and Science to have call center for complaints

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on October 19 signed decree No. УП-380 on reforming the system of the Ministry of Education and Science. The document, in particular, provides for the creation of a call center where citizens can send complaints and suggestions on education issues.

The call center will operate on outsourcing terms. Its tasks are to accept appeals, consider them promptly, forward them to relevant organizations, and inform applicants about the measures taken. At the same time, the department will introduce a feedback system with the population and industry workers to collect and analyze information on the quality and accessibility of educational services.

An Public Council on education issues will be formed under the minister, which will include students, students, parents, teachers, and employers. The ministry's board will consist of 15 people: the minister, his deputies, directors of agencies under the department, rectors of leading universities, scientists, and teachers. Minister of Education and Science Erkin Turdimov has been granted the right to hire employees in the central office based on the results of interviews by February 1, 2027.

The structure of the ministry will include the Human Capital Development Fund and the Center for Strategic Research and Evaluation in the field of education and science. The work of the Knowledge and Qualifications Assessment Agency will also be organized (previously known as the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency). The Education Development Center under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education will cease its activities (previously known as the Republican Educational Center).

A working group is being created under the Administration of the President, which will deal with the concept of a strategy for human capital development and continuous education. As reported by Podrobno.uz, the group will be headed by entrepreneur Zafar Hashimov on a voluntary basis.
