Tashkent to Host State International Fashion Academy

The new higher education institution will be part of the structure of the Agency for the Development of the Light Industry. The university will be established on the basis of a joint training program between the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and the Paris International Fashion Academy. All students of the joint program will continue their studies at the academy and receive its diplomas.

Classes will start in the 2026/2027 academic year, and admissions will be held in the generally established order by law. The university will be able to implement not only joint courses but also its own bachelor's and master's programs. The institution plans to create national brands and develop clothing designs for state orders. From the 2027/2028 academic year, dual education will be introduced to meet the needs of textile, sewing, knitting, and leather-footwear productions.

From the same period, graduates of profiled technical schools with an average score of not lower than that established by the academy will be able to enroll directly in the third year of contract bachelor's studies. Additionally, through the mechanism of public-private partnership, a dormitory for 400 places is planned to be introduced by the end of 2028; until the completion of the work, students transferred from the institute will be able to live in the institute's dormitory.
