Tashkent airport hosts autumn 2026 plane spotting tour

The participants included both professionals and novice spotters. From the apron, they captured takeoffs and landings, aircraft maintenance, and the work of ground staff. The lenses caught passenger and cargo aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Silk Avia, Qanot Sharq, Fly Khiva, Air Astana, Fly Dubai, Flynas, S7, Aeroflot, and other carriers.

Access to the event was granted only after preliminary selection. The organizers evaluated the availability of photo and video equipment, applicants' activity in specialized blogs and social networks, their publications on international spotting platforms, and previous tour experience.

According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports, over the past five years, the plane spotting community in the country has grown noticeably, with many young people among its members. The company believes that photos published on platforms such as JetPhotos, Airliners.net, and Planespotters.net help more and more people learn about Uzbekistan's aviation industry.

The first official plane spotting event in Uzbekistan was held on October 22, 2021. Since then, tours have been organized twice a year, in spring and autumn. On January 26, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "On measures to create conditions for the development of plane spotting".
