Tashkent to conduct energy audit of problem buildings with World Bank

Buildings where the temperature did not meet regulatory standards during the previous heating season are subject to inspection. The list of sites was compiled based on the results of a targeted survey supervised by the deputy head of the city for housing and communal services, though city authorities have not yet published the exact list or the number of buildings.

Foreign experts will carry out instrumental measurements and assess the technical condition of external walls, roofs, basements, windows, doors, as well as internal heating systems. In each specific case, the primary sources of heat loss will be identified, and technical measures will be proposed to eliminate them.

The collected data will serve as the basis for creating a methodology for effective heat supply to the capital's multi-storey buildings. The khokimiyat expects to use uniform criteria to identify sites requiring priority modernization and implement solutions to reduce the consumption of natural gas and electricity.
