Tashkent to Conduct Energy Audit of Problematic Houses with World Bank

The Tashkent city administration will conduct a comprehensive energy audit of problematic apartment buildings in the city, starting from September 21, with the participation of World Bank experts. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent city administration.

The audit will cover buildings where the temperature did not meet regulatory requirements during the previous heating season. The list of facilities was formed based on the results of an address survey under the supervision of the deputy head of the city for housing and communal services, but the city authorities have not yet published the exact list and number of houses.

Foreign experts will carry out instrumental measurements and assess the technical condition of exterior walls, roofs, basements, windows, doors, as well as internal heating communications. In each specific case, the main sources of heat leaks will be identified and technical measures for their elimination will be proposed.

The collected data will serve as the basis for creating a methodology for effective heat supply to the city's high-rise buildings. The city administration hopes that with the help of uniform criteria, they will be able to identify objects that require priority modernization and implement solutions to reduce the consumption of natural gas and electricity.
