Uzbekistan public holidays 2027 and work calendar
Preliminary calendar
There is no decree on extra days off and transfers for 2027 yet: it usually comes out in December. This page shows the public holidays under the Labour Code, the transfers the Code makes itself (when a holiday falls on a day off, the day off moves to the next working day) and the preliminary Hayit dates by the lunar calendar; the exact dates will be announced by presidential resolutions. The page will be updated.
In 2027 there are 9 public holidays. A five-day working week has 252 working days (2,012 hours on a 40-hour week) and 113 days off and holidays; the count is preliminary until the presidential decree. Working days and hours by month are in the work calendar below.
The Hayits in 2027
- Ramadan Hayit (Eid al-Fitr) — Tuesday, 9 March. The date is preliminary, by the lunar calendar: the exact date will be announced by a presidential resolution.
- Kurban Hayit (Eid al-Adha) — Sunday, 16 May. The date is preliminary, by the lunar calendar: the exact date will be announced by a presidential resolution. The holiday falls on a Sunday, so the day off moves to Monday 17 May.

Work calendar 2027
Preliminary count
Still missing: the presidential decree on extra days off and transfers for 2027 (it usually comes out in December) and the resolutions on the Hayit dates (they are adopted a few days before each holiday, on the announcement of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan). For now the table has the holidays and transfers under the Labour Code and the Hayits by the lunar calendar. Extra days off under the decree will reduce the number of working days and hours, and transfers may shift them between months. For comparison: in 2026 the decree gave the five-day week 4 extra days off — 2 January, 28 May, 29 May and 31 August.

How we counted
A five-day week with Saturday and Sunday off. The working week is at most 40 hours (Article 182 of the Labour Code), the working day 8 hours (Article 185). If a holiday falls on a day off, the day off moves to the next working day (Article 208); other transfers and extra days off are set by presidential decree. On the eve of a holiday the working day is at least an hour shorter (Article 187), so an hour is subtracted for each such day: in 2027 these are 31 August, 30 September, 7 December and 31 December.
36 hours a week is the limit for medical workers and teachers (Article 184), workers aged 16 to 18 (Article 415), people with group I and II disabilities (Article 427) and those doing harmful or dangerous work (Article 477); 24 hours is the limit for workers aged 15 to 16 (Article 415). Their daily norm is the weekly one divided by five days, 7.2 and 4.8 hours, and an hour less on the eve of a holiday.
The six-day week (a working day of up to 7 hours), shift schedules and cumulative working-time accounting follow their own rules. The hours in the table are an upper limit: an employer may shorten the day before a holiday by more than an hour.
