Yandex engineers have restored access to 96% of Yandex Disk customer data, the company's press office reported. Work to recover the remaining files continues.

This concerns documents, photos, audio, and video recordings. The proportion of accessible files varies among users: some customers have already regained all their data, while the recovery process is still underway for others. According to the company, it is distributing capacity across third-party independent sites and recovering files in stages, so their volume grows daily.

Uploading, downloading, and synchronization are already functioning. In the web version, it is not yet possible to download a folder, an album, or multiple files at once; the company suggests using the desktop application or API for this. Other features, including those in the mobile application, are promised to be restored later.

The disruptions began after attacks on Yandex data centres. Disk is part of the Yandex 360 virtual office suite, whose other services also have their primary functions available. From October 8 to October 31, 2026, Yandex Cloud cloud resources and Yandex 360 services are free for existing customers across all Russian availability zones. Earlier, the company reported that it had restored access to more than 90% of Yandex Cloud customer data.
