Amazon presented a new generation of e-book Kindle

The company Amazon has updated the line of e-books, presenting new generations of Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft readers.

In the updated series, the device bodies have become thinner, and the screen is made flush with the front frame. The line has appeared with modifications with aluminum body panels. According to the company, the speed of opening books in new models has increased by 30%. Also, all new devices provide the possibility of self-replacement of the battery by the user to comply with the requirements of the European Union.

The basic Kindle received a 6-inch display and up to six weeks of autonomous work, and the 7-inch Paperwhite retained water protection and provides up to 12 weeks of work on a single charge. The Colorsoft model is equipped with a color screen with improved backlight. In the Signature Edition modifications, contact pads for connecting branded accessories, including a magnetic case with page-turning buttons and a charging station, have appeared on the rear panel.

Together with the readers, the company presented the Bluetooth remote control Kindle Click for wireless page turning. In the USA, the basic version of Kindle went on sale at a price of $149.99, the cost of Paperwhite starts at $199.99, and Colorsoft - from $289.99.
