Honor presented smartphones Magic 9 and Magic 9 Pro Max

The company Honor has announced in China the flagship smartphones Magic 9 and Magic 9 Pro Max with cameras developed with the participation of ARRI.

Both devices are equipped with two 200-megapixel sensors (main and telephoto lens), a 50-megapixel wide-angle module, and a 55-megapixel front camera with a square sensor in a 1:1 format, allowing you to change the frame orientation without rotating the body. The image processing system was configured in conjunction with specialists from the German manufacturer of film equipment ARRI, introducing ARRI Looks profiles, support for the ARRI LogC3 format, and a separate 6-nanometer H1 chip.

The base version of the Magic 9 received a 6.37-inch OLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and an 8000 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Magic 9 Pro Max model is equipped with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, and an 8800 mAh battery with support for up to 100W wired charging and up to 80W wireless charging. External interchangeable teleconverter lenses with focal lengths of 200 and 500 mm are also provided for the devices.

The smartphones run on Android 17 with the proprietary MagicOS 11 shell. In the Chinese market, the price of the Magic 9 starts from 4999 yuan, and the Magic 9 Pro Max starts from 6499 yuan for configurations with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in memory.
