Technopark for Agricultural Drones Production Planned in Fergana

A project to create a technopark for the production and maintenance of agricultural drones is planned in the Fergana region. The project of the relevant resolution of the khokimiyat of the Fergana region has been put up for public discussion on the portal of regulatory legal acts. According to the national news agency UzA, the technopark is planned to be located under the auspices of the Fergana State Technical University on a 1 ha plot in the industrial zone of the "Eco City" complex.

The site is planned to be managed through the company Hongsheng Texnologik Rivojlantirish, which will be established by the university together with a Chinese investor. The technopark plans to produce agricultural drones and their spare parts, as well as conduct their testing, sales, storage, maintenance, and repair. In addition, the site will include research centers, testing grounds, laboratories, and training complexes for the training and certification of operators.

The project proposes to allow the company to provide agrotechnical services to legal entities, in particular, to monitor crops, apply mineral fertilizers and plant protection products. At the same time, the maximum flight height of the drones will be 30 meters, and only certified specialists will be able to manage them. The discussion of the project document will last until October 9.
