Apple develops new version of Vision Pro in four variants

According to Bloomberg, one of the variants under consideration involves moving the computer module and battery to a separate module that is not attached to the head. At the same time, some of Apple's management is advocating for a monolithic design similar to the current Vision Pro model. To reduce the weight of the headset, the company is testing various body materials, including titanium, plastic, and other metals.

The fate of the project has not been finally determined at this time. As noted by Gurman, Apple is revising the overall direction of development, which is why there is no guarantee of the device's release to the market. If approved, the release of the new model is predicted no earlier than the end of 2028 or the beginning of 2029.

At the same time, the American corporation is redirecting resources to the development of smart glasses without a built-in screen, and the current version of Vision Pro is largely considered an intermediate product within the company.
