President of the USA Donald Trump announced plans to create "Forces of Artificial Intelligence" and appoint a special coordinator of the direction, unofficially called the "AI tsar". He informed about his initiative in the social network Truth Social, comparing the future structure to the US Space Forces, established during his first presidential term. At the same time, the American president did not provide information about the structure, budget, specific tasks, and exact launch dates of the organization, noting that the name of the leader will be announced later.

The head of the White House stated that the administration does not intend to restrain the development of artificial intelligence technologies and called this direction the next industrial revolution, which can potentially provide up to 25% of the US GDP. Trump emphasized the importance of maintaining US superiority over China in the technological sphere and added that existing norms of criminal and civil law are sufficient to combat abuses without introducing new restrictions.

Earlier, the position of the so-called "AI tsar" in the administration was held by venture investor David Sacks, who later moved to the status of consultant. The new statements were made against the backdrop of preparations for Trump's negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which also include issues of artificial intelligence security.
