The supply of heat to apartment buildings and social facilities in the capital will begin on November 9 and will proceed in stages, the press service of the Tashkent khokimiyat reported.

The decision was signed by the city khokim Shavkat Umurzakov. Among the social facilities that will start receiving heat, the khokimiyat named schools, kindergartens, and hospitals. Buildings will not be connected to the heat supply simultaneously, but in turn.

As the administration clarified, heating charges will be accrued only from the day the building is actually connected. This date is recorded in a bilateral certificate signed by the management company. If radiators in an apartment heat up unevenly, residents are advised to contact the management company servicing the building or the homeowners' association.

Accidents on the heating networks can be reported to Veolia Energy Tashkent at 1347 and (71) 200-00-56, or via the @vet_pokazaniya_bot Telegram bot, which accepts requests around the clock.

The heating is being turned on amid an expected cold snap. Uzhydromet forecast a sharp weather change on November 9 in the north of the country and on November 10–12 in the remaining regions: rain, heavy in places, nighttime temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius, and in the north — from 2 to 7 degrees of frost, with daytime temperatures between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius.
