In Uzbekistan, a portal for complaints about violence and pressure at work will be launched

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 21 signed a decree on measures to form a safe and respectful work environment. The program will be gradually implemented in government agencies and organizations, companies with a state share of 50% or more, and then extended to enterprises of other forms of ownership.

The portal is being created within the structures of the Agency for Effective Management. The service will allow online appeals to be submitted, evidence to be collected, and the results of checks to be recorded without the possibility of data destruction. If a complaint is filed against a responsible employee or management, it will automatically be forwarded to a higher authority. In case of detection of signs of an administrative offense or crime, appeals will be transferred through the single dispatch service "112".

The Agency for Effective Management is empowered to send mandatory representations for consideration on the facts of identified violations. In addition, labor collectives of government agencies were recommended to enshrine in their internal rules that sexual or physical violence and sexual harassment can be considered a one-time gross violation of labor duties, and psychological pressure, discrimination, and persecution for filing complaints - a violation of labor discipline.
