In Navoi, a teacher of a private kindergarten was sentenced for torturing children

As it follows from the court materials, to which the media got access, the woman worked with children aged from one to three years from December 2025 to April 2026 in the private kindergarten Amin kids. The court established that she systematically applied physical violence to the children, as a result of which they received minor bodily injuries. The fact of the use of force on April 7 was recorded on video by the teacher's assistant.

Psychological examination confirmed the presence of a traumatic state, fear and signs of experienced physical and psychological violence when viewing the photo of the teacher in the affected children.

During the court hearing, the defendant partially admitted her guilt, confirming the facts of the use of force, but stated that this did not happen systematically, and explained her condition by family stress. The Navoi city criminal court found her guilty under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Torture"), sentenced her to 3 years and 3 months of imprisonment and banned her from working as a teacher in preschool institutions for two years. The activities of the Amin kids kindergarten have been temporarily suspended.
