Chirchiq teenager detained with parcel containing hashish

An international controlled delivery operation was carried out by officers of the Customs Committee's Department for Combating Smuggling in cooperation with units of the State Security Service (SSS) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The teenager, born in 2009, was detained upon receiving the postal item. Inside the parcel, law enforcement officers found four canned goods containers holding hashish with a total weight of 852.2 grams.

During a search of the minor's residence, officers seized electronic scales, electrical tape, and small zip-lock bags. According to the Customs Committee, these items could have been used for packaging and distributing narcotics.

The agency estimates that the seized quantity of the substance is equivalent to more than 60,000 doses, with a black-market value of nearly $600,000. A criminal case has been initiated over the matter.
