In Chirchik, Tashkent region, a 17-year-old schoolboy was detained while receiving a parcel from Russia with 852.2 grams of hashish.

The operation on international controlled delivery was carried out by the employees of the Anti-Smuggling Department of the Customs Committee in cooperation with the units of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The teenager born in 2009 was detained while receiving a postal parcel. Inside the parcel, law enforcement officers found four tin cans containing hashish with a total weight of 852.2 grams.

During the inspection of the minor's place of residence, the employees of the authorities seized electronic scales, duct tape, and small zip bags. As stated in the Customs Committee, these items could be used for packaging and distributing narcotics.

According to the agency's estimates, the seized volume of the substance is equivalent to more than 60 thousand doses, and its cost on the black market is almost 600 thousand dollars. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
