Silent Hill remake by Bloober Team may be released in 2027

The official release date for the game is still unknown: the remake was presented last summer without specifying the release date. MP1st clarifies that within the studio, the project is called Project G, and in casting agencies, it is called Project Noise. According to a publication on Habr, active development began in 2022. Earlier, insider AestheticGamer (Dusk Golem) claimed that the game has been in production for more than three years and may be released in 2027. However, the release schedule may still change.

The publication also named two actresses involved in the project - Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew. Fritz worked on Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Luna Abyss, and Matthew's voice is heard in the MMORPG Dragon Nest. Since there are few female characters in the original, 3DNews and Habr suggest that they got the roles of Cybil Bennett, Lisa Garland, or Dahlia Gillespie. The performer of the main character Harry Mason is not disclosed.

The original 1999 game tells the story of a writer who is looking for his adopted daughter Cheryl in a fog-shrouded town. Series producer Motoi Okamoto previously said that Konami plans to release one game from the franchise per year for the "second and third wave" of the updated universe. In parallel, Bloober Team is preparing an addition to the horror game Cronos: The New Dawn called Lazarus. A full presentation of the remake, according to Habr, is expected at one of the upcoming major exhibitions, possibly at The Game Awards 2026.
