In November 2026, elderly citizens will receive a 50% discount on museum tickets

The benefit is timed to the "Month of Tourism for the Elderly". Its provision is stipulated in paragraph 7 of the protocol of the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on September 29, 2026. The discount applies only to objects from a special list published by the agency.

The participants of the action include the Registan ensemble in Samarkand, as well as the museum-reserves "Bukhara", "Samarkand" and "Itchan Kala" in Khiva. The reduced price will also be valid in Nukus: at the State Museum of Arts named after Igor Savitsky and the State Museum of History and Culture of Karakalpakstan. The list also includes the Museum of Archaeology of Termez and the Museum of Modern Art of Uzbekistan.

The agency explained that the purpose of the initiative is to make museums and historical monuments more accessible to older people and help them organize their leisure time.

During the same period, from November 1 to November 30, elderly citizens will be provided with a 20% discount on the tariff part of the cost of railway tickets on domestic routes. It does not apply to high-speed Afrosiyob trains. Women over 55 and men over 60 will be able to take advantage of it.
