The work of 13 traffic light facilities on a 6-kilometer section of the road has been coordinated on Fergana Highway in Tashkent.

The Tashkent city administration, citing the Center for Road Traffic Organization, reported that the work of 13 traffic light facilities on a 6-kilometer section of the road has been coordinated on Fergana Highway in Tashkent.

The corridor covers the section from the Kuylyuk-ota mausoleum behind the Kuylyuk bridge to UzBUM and operates around the clock. According to the measurements of specialists, the passage of this section during non-peak hours now takes around 9 minutes instead of the previous 12-13 minutes, which reduced the travel time by about 25%.

The city administration explained that the traffic lights are set to synchronized operation when the calculated speed of movement is observed. This allows drivers to pass the maximum number of intersections on a green signal, reducing the number of stops and making traffic more even. The adjustment was made after appeals from citizens.

Specialists from the Center for Road Traffic Organization continue to monitor the situation on Fergana Highway around the clock and will adjust the traffic light modes as necessary.
