In Tashkent, business representatives and the expert community discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on personnel shortages and the necessary conditions for the implementation of technologies. This was reported by the organizers of the FINNEXT Asia forum.

The discussion club "Will AI quench the thirst for personnel?" was held as part of the preparation for the III International Forum of Financial Innovations FINNEXT Asia 2026. The discussion was attended by representatives of Mikrokreditbank, IT Park Uzbekistan, Hayot Bank, Hamkorbank, the company "Uzbekinvest", EY, Deco Systems and other organizations.

According to a study presented by the head of the Association of Employers of Uzbekistan, Yulia Yakovleva, in 2025, the number of job offers for BI analysts and data analysts in the country increased by 102%. At the same time, the salary expectations of applicants were 2.1 times higher than the offers of employers. The number of vacancies for developers grew by 6%, and the salary expectations of programmers were lower than the rates offered by companies.

The meeting participants noted that the use of artificial intelligence should not be limited to the technical part: to achieve the effect, it is necessary to ensure the quality of data, transform work processes and retrain personnel.

What it means

Further discussion of technology usage issues is planned at the FINNEXT Asia 2026 forum, which will take place in Tashkent on November 19, 2026.
