Google presented the Fitbit Edge fitness bracelet for $180

Google has presented the Fitbit Edge fitness bracelet for $180. The device is equipped with a stretched AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.34 inches and protective Gorilla Glass 3. The aluminum body is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP68 and 5 ATM standards, and the weight of the bracelet without the strap is 17.7 grams. Unlike the Fitbit Charge 6, the new device does not have an NFC module for contactless payments through Google Wallet.

According to the company, the built-in GPS has become 40% more accurate compared to the Charge 6. The gadget has received pulse, skin temperature, blood oxygen level (SpO2) sensors, an altimeter, an ECG removal application, and support for more than 50 training modes. The Google Health Coach personal trainer function based on Gemini works through the Google Health application with a paid Google Health Premium subscription.

The battery provides up to seven days of autonomous work with the Always-on Display mode turned off and about two days with it activated. The battery is replaceable, but the manufacturer warns that self-repair requires technical skills. A special version of the Stephen Curry Edition bracelet is also provided for $219.99.
