Apple presented smart display HomeView and new Apple TV 4K set-top box

The company Apple on 13 October presented the home smart display HomeView and the TV set-top box Apple TV 4K of the fourth generation with support for artificial intelligence Siri.

The smart display HomeView has a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen with brightness adjustment from 0.3 to 500 nits and True Tone support. The aluminum body of the device is connected to a dome-shaped acoustic system with a stainless steel hinge, and a version with a wall mount is also developed. The device recognizes faces, changes the interface depending on the distance to a person, supports FaceTime video calls and Apple Intelligence platform functions. The novelty will go on sale on 13 November 2026 at a price of $300 in four colors: silver, dark gray, pink and light gold.

The updated Apple TV 4K set-top box is based on the A19 processor, which, according to Apple, has become up to 50% faster than its predecessor in terms of processor and up to two times faster in graphics. The device has three long-range microphones for calling the voice assistant without a remote control, a hardware AV1 decoder, and an updated Siri Remote control with a sound signal for searching through the "Locator" system. The set-top box also supports combining up to four HomePod second-generation or HomePod mini 2 speakers into a surround sound system.

Sales of Apple TV 4K will also start on 13 November at a price of $299 in the USA and 29 other countries. At the start, the Siri AI functionality is available only in English as part of the beta version of the tvOS 27.2 operating system.
