During the hack, the account changed its avatar to the Clippy mascot, subscribed to the @clippymsftcto page, and reposted a post offering to get 500,000 likes to bring back the character. Later, a fake statement appeared on the page stating that the corporation does not support the release of cryptocurrencies, and an unknown token is illegally using the Clippy brand and the $MSFT ticker.

Microsoft representative Brent Colbert stated that specialists have restored control over the account, secured the profile, and removed all extraneous posts. The company is currently conducting an internal investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
