In Uzbekistan, they will prepare a "White Book" on artificial intelligence

The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, together with Huawei and the Global Computing Consortium, is developing the Uzbekistan AI White Paper document. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Oleg Pekos.

The development of the document was announced by a representative of the ministry at the Future Intelligence session as part of the ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026. According to Pekos, the document is designed to translate the development of artificial intelligence in the republic from point initiatives to systemic implementation within the framework of the approved Strategy for the Development of AI Technologies until 2030. The "White Book" is designed to assess the national ecosystem, identify its limitations and promising areas for practical application of technologies, as well as serve as a map of opportunities for investors.

During the event, a representative of the EGOV CLOUD Data Center, Asliddin Abdulfattakhov, spoke about plans to implement AI in the MyGov portal. In the near future, the launch of the MyGov AI Assistant voice and text assistant, the MyGov Speech to Text application system, and the Document AI document recognition service is planned. Also, the transfer of 20 services to online mode without a personal visit, reduction of terms for 80 services, and reduction of the cost of 25 procedures are planned.

Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Mahsudov also announced that Uzbekistan has joined the World Organization for Cooperation in the Field of Artificial Intelligence. According to the director of the AI Alliance, Aziz Mukhitdinov, since 2025, 40 organizations have joined the association, including government agencies, companies, and universities.
