ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 kicks off in Tashkent

The ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 has kicked off in Tashkent, which will last until September 25. This was reported by the Tashkent city administration.

Within the framework of the events and exhibition, developments in the field of artificial intelligence, communication networks, cloud computing, biometric identification and digital medicine are presented. The Department of Digital Development of the Tashkent city administration has deployed a stand with a presentation of about 20 digital projects.

The telecom operator Ucell demonstrated the operation of 5G with a data transfer speed of up to 1 Gbit/s, as well as a telecommunications infrastructure project for the Kungrad Wind Power Plant with a capacity of 1500 MW and an energy storage system of 300 MW in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. For corporate clients, the operator showed systems of the Internet of Things, geoanalytics, environmental monitoring and scoring algorithms based on telecom data.

Huawei presented technologies under the theme Advancing All Intelligence, including solutions for 5G and 5.5G, optical networks, corporate Wi-Fi 7 communication, cloud services and data storage systems. At the opening ceremony of the week, Huawei Vice President for Central Asia Wang Qi emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in the economy and public administration.
