Huawei presents its first desktop computer on HarmonyOS

The company Huawei demonstrated the Qingyun HM650 desktop computer, which runs under the control of its own HarmonyOS operating system. The presentation took place at the Huawei Connect 2026 conference in Shanghai. The novelty became the first desktop of the manufacturer to use the proprietary desktop platform HarmonyOS 1.0 instead of Windows or Linux operating systems. The device is made in the format of a separate system unit.

The computer is focused on corporate and government customers. The operating system has an AI assistant Celia integrated into it, designed for information processing, data search, and content generation. The corporate functionality includes digital separation of workspaces, centralized device and application management, as well as data protection mechanisms using large language models. In China, the desktop has passed security and reliability certification of the second level.

According to Kod.ru, the model is equipped with a Kirin X90 processor and a two-level cooling system. At the same time, the exact amounts of RAM, storage, graphics parameters, and retail price of the PC have not been announced yet. According to iXBT.com, the device is expected to enter the market in September 2026.
