In Uzbekistan, 11 football clubs will be offered to business for management

The Association of Football of Uzbekistan has announced a competition for the transfer of 11 professional football clubs to business entities for trust management. The competition is being held in accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated March 24, 2026, on measures to finance sports and involve entrepreneurs. The list includes 11 teams: "Bunyodkor", "Bukhoro", "Dinamo", "Qizilqum", "Navbahor", "Nasaf", "Neftchi", "Lokomotiv", "Mashal", AGMK (OKMK) and "Pakhtakor". Entrepreneurs or groups of investors who are ready to cover at least 20% of the annual expenses of the respective club can participate in the selection.

Tax concessions are provided for investors: the tax base for the corporate income tax can be reduced by the amount of sponsorship payments to the club, but not more than 10%. Players of such clubs are exempt from paying income tax, and the social tax for them will be 1%. Additionally, entrepreneurs will receive a 50% discount on advertising on NTRK TV channels during sports broadcasts.

Furthermore, banks will be able to provide loans for the purchase of clubs, as well as construction and repair work on sports facilities at 14% per annum for five years with a one-year grace period. The mandatory condition is the presence of liquid collateral and a business plan, while using the club's buildings and land as security is prohibited.
