On October 30, electricity will be cut off on some streets across eight districts of Tashkent from 10:00 to 16:00, Nuz.uz reports, citing the press service of the district electrical networks (RES).

Power engineers explain the outages by grid repairs and preparation for the autumn-winter season. The supply of power will not stop throughout entire districts, but only on parts of streets in the listed mahallas.

In Yakkasaray district, this is the Meros mahalla; in Mirzo-Ulugbek district, Katta Karasuv; in Shaykhantakhur district, Ibn Sino; in Uchtepa district, Chamanzor; in Chilanzar district, Chilanzar; and in Yashnabad district, Chinor. In Bektemir district, streets in the Abay, Sokhil, Chashma, Nurli Yul and Musaffo mahallas will be left without electricity, and in Almazar district, in the Sebzor, Yangi Sebzor, Akhil and Umid mahallas.

Electricity supply is planned to be restored by 16:00, or earlier if repairs finish ahead of schedule. The RES noted that the work might be completed ahead of the designated time. Regional Electrical Networks apologized to residents for the inconvenience caused.

What it means

The outage will affect only some streets in the listed mahallas across eight Tashkent districts and will last from 10:00 to 16:00 on October 30. If repairs conclude early, electricity will be restored sooner.
