The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for determining the needs and providing social services to victims of human trafficking.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for determining the needs and providing social services to victims of human trafficking. The decision was made by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated October 6.

Victims will be provided with emergency medical, psychological and legal support, help in restoring documents, obtaining a residence permit or going through citizenship procedures, as well as professional training and employment. Specialized institutions will provide free safe housing, food and hygiene products for up to six months. Minors, one legal representative of a minor or an accompanying person with a disability of the first group can stay with them. The delivery of citizens to institutions is accompanied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the expenses for travel are compensated by the Sahovat va kumak fund in the amount of from half to one basic calculation value.

Women and their children will be sent to institutions near their place of residence, and men, foreigners and repatriates will be accepted by the Republican Rehabilitation Center for providing assistance to victims of human trafficking under the National Social Protection Agency. The staff of this center is limited to 11 employees with a limit of one service vehicle.

You can apply for support to the social services centers Inson, specialized institutions, a social worker of the mahalla or by calling 1146 within a month after being recognized as a presumed victim or within a year after official confirmation of the status. Services are available, including to people without documents. After completing the individual rehabilitation program, the Inson centers will conduct a six-month monitoring of the person's condition at their place of residence through the Unified National Social Protection system, the integration of which the National Social Protection Agency, the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Internal Affairs must complete by November 1.
