From November 1, 2026, an updated entry procedure for Uzbek citizens will come into effect in Egypt, according to the Uzbek Embassy in Cairo.

According to the diplomatic mission, an entry visa will need to be obtained in advance through Egyptian diplomatic missions, and tourist trips must be organized through authorized tour operators. Tourists under 40 years old will be able to enter the country only with close relatives - parents, spouses, or children. Such a family will need to have at least $5,000 in cash. Travelers over 40 years old who are traveling alone will need to have at least $3,000 in cash. At the border, it will also be necessary to present a document confirming hotel booking, mobile phone connection information, and proof of financial means. During their stay in Egypt, it will be impossible to change the category of a tourist visa. Passengers without a full set of required documents may be denied entry and sent back on the flight of the airline that brought them.
