Passenger Customs Declaration Can Be Submitted Through EPIGU

The Unified Portal of Interactive State Services my.gov.uz has launched a service for preliminary filling out of a passenger customs declaration. This was reported by the press service of the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services.

The service is available in the "Customs" section of the website, as well as in the MyGov mobile application, free of charge. Citizens entering Uzbekistan can fill out an electronic form in advance for goods for personal use, mobile devices, jewelry, and currency, save the ready document on their phone, and show it to the customs officer when crossing the border.

Mandatory declaration applies to mobile phones and communication devices, household appliances and electronics when importing more than one unit (televisions, laptops, washing machines, air conditioners), as well as gold jewelry weighing more than 65 grams and silver products heavier than 200 grams. It is also required to declare cash in soums or foreign currency in excess of 100 million soums in equivalent, medicines in accordance with the norms of legislation, and goods of special control, including weapons, drones, radio electronics, and historical and cultural values.

The norms for duty-free import for personal use are up to $1000 when flying, up to $500 for rail and water transport, and up to $300 when entering by car or on foot. When exceeding these limits, customs payments are charged.
