Family of girl who suffered violence in Namangan region to receive help

The family of a five-year-old girl who was a victim of violence at a kindergarten in the Namangan region will be helped to move to another city and provided with housing. This was announced on September 27 by Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, the first deputy director of the National Agency for Social Protection.

According to her, specialists and psychologists from the agency have been working with the girl and her mother since the first days. The family will be provided with rehabilitation and social support, the mother will be helped with education and employment, and if necessary, with a change of surname. The issue is under special control of the Administration of the President, and relevant agencies have been connected to the work.

As Kursiv reports with reference to the General Prosecutor's Office, the investigation is under the personal control of the head of the department. A 52-year-old kindergarten economist is suspected of violence against the child, according to the publication. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has created a special group to study the circumstances, and the children's ombudsman has called for measures to be taken following the official investigation and to consider the issue of staff responsibility.

Earlier, the head of the Administration of the President, Saida Mirziyoyeva, stated that proposals were being prepared to toughen responsibility for crimes against minors.
