Shavkat Mirziyoyev awards Marco Rubio and Sergio Gor with orders of Uzbekistan

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was awarded the order "Buyuk hizmatlari uchun". The President noted his personal contribution to the development of strategic partnership, expansion of political, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, as well as promoting Uzbekistan's international initiatives and strengthening stability in Central Asia.

Special Envoy of the President of the USA for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor was awarded the order "Dustlik". According to the report, the award was given for promoting the development of bilateral dialogue, practical implementation of agreements, attracting American investments to projects and working within the framework of the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council.

Earlier, the head of state met with Marco Rubio. The Secretary of State arrived in Uzbekistan for a meeting of ministers in the "C5+1" format and the second meeting of the joint business and investment council.
