Military of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey start joint exercises

The ceremony of opening the first stage took place at the training center "Gyzylgaya" ("Kyzylgaya") in the Khojavend district of the Karabakh economic region. As part of the event, the national anthems of the three countries sounded, a solemn passage of personnel took place in front of the tribune, and a concert program of the song and dance ensemble of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Azi Aslanov.

The training program consists of three stages. Trainings are planned at the "Gyzylgaya" ("Kyzylgaya") range in the Karabakh economic region, "Karabakhlar" in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, and "Buyuk Zira" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

The maneuvers involve units of the defense ministries of the participating states, military equipment, aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and naval forces. The stated goals of the exercises include increasing readiness for joint operations, working out troop interaction, exchanging experience, and unifying training procedures.
