Mother and three daughters die in Khorezm region, criminal case initiated

According to preliminary information from the General Prosecutor's Office, on October 8, the family ate products that were left over from a birthday celebration held the day before. After that, all four of them developed symptoms of poisoning and died on October 9 and 10. The eldest girl was 7 years old. On October 10, a criminal case was initiated under paragraph "a" of part 4 of article 276-11 of the Criminal Code, which concerns goods and services that do not meet safety requirements. To establish the causes of death, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. Specialists from the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, as well as the regional health and emergency departments, have been involved in the investigation. In response to a question from Podrobno.uz, whether such qualification means that the dangerous products were purchased, not cooked at home, law enforcement agencies replied that this circumstance is currently being clarified by the investigation. The chairman of the makhalla told Kun.uz that the cause of death has not been established yet, and the woman prepared the salads herself; her husband was not at home that day.
