Two pallets of Zotac GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards worth 2.5 million reais (around 470 thousand dollars), intended for Brazilian distributor Oderço, have gone missing at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo.

The head of the company, Oderço Matos, announced the incident on social media. According to him, in 38 years of operation, this is the first time the distributor has faced the loss of an imported shipment. The stated sum of 2.5 million Brazilian reais (estimated by iXBT.com at about 500 thousand dollars, and according to 3DNews and Habr at around 470 thousand dollars) is the purchase cost of the batch, while the company has not disclosed the exact number of graphics cards.

According to the Brazilian outlet UOL, cited by 3DNews, the shipment arrived at the airport on September 20. The customs transit declaration was registered on September 24 and approved the next day, but the distributor was unable to retrieve the equipment. On October 6, airport representatives named the presumed location of the pallets, and on October 14, they admitted that the cargo could not be found.

Airport operator GRU Airport stated that it notified the competent authorities about the incident and sent instructions to the importer to initiate the compensation procedure. The administration noted that the reasons for the shipment's disappearance have not yet been established, and there is no confirmation of theft.
