Mutual Trade of Central Asian Countries Reaches $8.1 Billion in 7 Months

The volume of mutual trade between the Central Asian states increased by 25.4% in January-July 2026 compared to the same period in 2025 and reached $8.1 billion. This was reported by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms.

The indicator of intraregional trade was calculated as the sum of export supplies of each country to other states in the region to exclude double counting.

More than 80% of mutual exports accounted for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Kazakhstan supplied goods to the countries of the region worth $4.537 billion (55.9% of the total volume of mutual exports), Uzbekistan - $2.003 billion (24.7%). Turkmenistan's supplies amounted to $844 million, Kyrgyzstan's - $523 million, Tajikistan's - $209 million.

The share of trade with Central Asian countries in the total volume of foreign trade turnover of each state was 19.9% for Kyrgyzstan, 17.6% for Tajikistan, 10.9% for Uzbekistan, and 6.7% for Kazakhstan.
