Anthropic, the creator of the Claude model, has publicly filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an initial public offering.

Anthropic plans to list its Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are acting as underwriters. The number of shares, price range, and final valuation have not been determined. The company had confidentially submitted preliminary documents to the regulator on June 1. The shares cannot be purchased until the registration statement becomes effective, and the start date of trading has not been announced.

According to the data disclosed in the filing, Anthropic's revenue for the first half of 2026 was approximately $16.3 billion, compared to around $1.2 billion a year earlier. The net loss reached $80.7 billion, with the majority of it due to the revaluation of convertible instruments, and the operating loss was around $693 million.

The documents also indicate that after launching all planned capacities, the company will pay SpaceX around $3.1 billion per month for access to Nvidia graphics processors. By 2029, the total expenses under these agreements may reach $120.5 billion. Among the risks, Anthropic notes possible incidents with AI with catastrophic consequences.

In June, the company raised $65 billion in investments at a valuation of $965 billion. As reported by Habr, citing the Financial Times, investors expect a valuation at the IPO in the range of $1.5-1.75 trillion (according to Reuters, cited by iXBT, - $1.5-2 trillion).
