UzPost Shareholders Did Not Approve a Loan of 100 Billion Soum from Wildberries

According to the data from the Unified Portal of Corporate Information, an extraordinary meeting of UzPost shareholders was held on September 21 with a quorum of 93.69%. A major deal was put to a vote, which included UzPost attracting a loan of 100 billion soum from Wildberries' structure, WB INT EXPORT, at the Central Bank's refinancing rate, with a repayment schedule and a plan to buy out the company's shares with subsequent annulment. On this issue, 100% of the participants abstained, so no decision was made.

At the same time, the shareholders prematurely terminated the powers of the previous supervisory board and approved a new composition for three years, consisting of nine people. The majority of seats - five - were taken by representatives of the combined company Wildberries & Russ (LLC RVB) and its structures: Akmal Primkulov (LLC WB INT EXPORT), Evgeny Mityan, Emil Khasyanov, Pavel Logunov (all three - LLC RVB) and Alexandra Khmeleva (LLC VB Bank).

From state structures, the first deputy minister of digital technologies, Oleg Pekos, an expert from the Accounting Chamber, Shahzod Usarov, and the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Muzaffar Astonakulov, entered the supervisory board. The ninth member was independent member Roger Crook.

The press service of Wildberries told the publication Spot that the company's representatives entered the postal operator's management body for the purpose of "modernizing the postal operator, improving the quality and speed of services provided". The postal service will continue to operate in the usual mode.
