US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine now needs to reach an agreement with Russia, adding that Washington has not received anything in return for the aid provided to Kyiv.

Trump added that the patience of American taxpayers is running out. He told journalists at the White House that Volodymyr Zelensky could have achieved an agreement to end the war earlier. The outcomes of the aid to Ukraine, according to the American president, are sorrow, death, and huge financial losses.

Upl.uz quotes other statements by Trump. According to the publication, he suggested that it might be time for Zelensky to pass on the negotiations to another person. Additionally, he expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the US shares intelligence with Ukraine without reciprocation, once again spoke in favor of holding elections in Ukraine, and announced his desire to meet with Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. The reason for these statements, according to Upl.uz, is Zelensky's words that Trump has ended up "on the wrong side of history".

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the possibility of such a meeting on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen was mentioned. The summit will take place in mid-November. However, according to Peskov, there have been no specific proposals yet, and the agenda has not been agreed upon.

Shortly before this, Zelensky held a meeting in Oslo with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which was also attended by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Zelensky called the negotiations fruitful and stated that Kyiv, Europe, and the US equally strive for peace.
