Travel in Tashkent from October 1: how much travel passes, packages and transfers cost

The Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies approved new tariffs for buses and the metro on September 25. From October 1, 2026, a single trip with electronic payment will cost 2500 soum instead of 1700, and the prices of travel passes will also change.

When paying in cash, the price remains the same - 3000 soum. Luggage transportation will cost 4000 soum. As UzDaily clarifies, the tariff of 2500 soum with electronic payment is set taking into account a promotional discount.

A unlimited travel pass for only buses costs 11,500 soum per day, 54,000 per week, and 250,000 per month. A pass for buses and the metro costs 13,500, 73,000, and 345,000 soum, respectively.

Long-term plans are cheaper. Three months of bus travel cost 682,500 soum, six months - 1,170,000, and a year - 1,950,000; for buses and the metro - 945,000, 1,620,000, and 2,700,000 soum. According to UzDaily, the discount from the full cost for them is 30, 40, and 50%.

Packages for a fixed number of trips have appeared: 10 trips for 19,000 soum, 20 for 38,500, and 30 for 57,500.

Schoolchildren, students, pensioners, and people with disabilities buy separate tariff plans with a 50% discount. Those who have the right to free travel by law retain it.

Tariffs for transfers by transport card within 60 minutes from the moment of the first payment have been approved separately. The first trip costs 2500 soum, the second bus trip - 1500, and the third and subsequent bus trips are free. A trip on the metro within such a chain costs 1500 soum. If the route starts with the metro, the passenger pays 2500 soum, then two bus trips for 1500, and the rest are free. The metro can be used once in a 60-minute period: when re-entering, the countdown starts anew.
