On September 28, the Tashkent Metro set a daily ridership record of 1,200,124 passengers, the metro press service reported.

The figure exceeded the previous daily high of 1.18 million passengers by 31 thousand people, which, according to the Traffic Management Center, was set on September 21.

Metro staff identified the passenger who became the 1.2-millionth of the day. Representatives of the organization greeted her and presented commemorative gifts, as well as a transit card granting free travel on public transport for one year. The metro had presented a similar card to its one-millionth passenger in December 2024.

Earlier, on September 15, a daily record for Tashkent bus ridership was recorded: 1,520,113 passengers used them on that day, while the capital's metro was used by 1.16 million people.
