Green Wave Launched on Small Ring Road in Tashkent

The Center for Road Traffic Management in Tashkent has introduced a "green wave" system on a five-kilometer stretch of the Small Ring Road. Specialists have coordinated the operation of 12 traffic light objects on the section between the Uzbek State University of World Languages and the pedestrian crossing near the Visol banquet hall at the intersection with Sheykh Zayniddin Street. According to the department's calculations, at a speed of 50-60 km/h, a car can pass this section without unnecessary stops at traffic lights. The travel time has been reduced from 11 minutes 30 seconds to 9 minutes 40 seconds, resulting in a saving of 1 minute 50 seconds. The Center for Road Traffic Management reported that the phased launch of the system will continue on other sections of the capital's roads with dense traffic flow.
