Thailand. From 15 September 2026, visa-free entry for citizens of Uzbekistan was abolished by decision of the Thai government: a visa must be obtained in advance via the Thai e-Visa portal. According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok, after completing the application form, you must apply in person to the Thai Embassy in Moscow to pay the consular fee. Prior to that date, you could stay in the country without a visa for up to 60 days.
Egypt. From 1 November 2026, according to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, an entry visa to Egypt must be obtained in advance at an Egyptian diplomatic mission, and the trip must be arranged through an authorised tour operator. Tourists under 40 may only enter together with close relatives (parents, spouses, children); such a family must have at least $5,000 in cash, while independent travellers over 40 must have at least $3,000. Hotel bookings and proof of funds will be requested at the border; without the full set of documents, you may be sent back on a return flight.

Before travelling
- Check the validity period of your passport for travel abroad: in many countries, it must remain valid for a further 6 months after entry.
- Visa-free entry is intended almost everywhere for tourism and short business trips. Work and study require a visa.
- Rules change several times a year, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs page is not updated immediately: Thailand abolished visa-free entry from 15 September 2026, but it is still on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs list. Before purchasing tickets, check with the destination country’s embassy and the airline.
