In Nukus, the Turan stadium was opened after reconstruction

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his trip to Karakalpakstan inspected the reconstructed Turan stadium in Nukus. The cost of the reconstruction project was 118.6 billion soum. The capacity of the stands has increased from 9.3 thousand to 12 thousand spectators. The facility has prepared platforms for media representatives, places for offside cameras and a separate zone for the centralized VAR system. Also, permanent employment for 85 people is provided.

The arena serves as the base for the professional football club Aral, where 190 pupils of the Republican Football Academy train. The complex includes two sports halls, two additional stadiums, a residential building for 196 people, a dining room for 84 people, rooms for tactical analysis and training facilities. At the same time, from 100 to 150 athletes can engage in athletics, boxing and taekwondo on the territory of the complex.

During the visit to the complex, the head of state was presented with a yellow personalized football uniform with the number 35. The President familiarized himself with the created conditions and gave instructions for the development of sports and football in the region.
