Uzbekistan Approves Early Retirement for Dismissed Citizens

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved a regulation on early retirement for certain categories of citizens of pre-retirement age who have been dismissed. The regulation was approved by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated September 28, 2026, No. 519. The right to early retirement is provided for men aged 58 to 60 with a work experience of at least 25 years and women aged 53 to 55 with a work experience of at least 20 years, whose employment contract has been terminated on certain grounds.

The application is submitted free of charge through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the order on termination of the employment contract, and in case of incomplete digitalization of work experience data, also a copy of the work book.

The local labor authority considers the documents within two working days and registers the applicant as a job seeker. Three months are allocated for selecting suitable vacancies. If the citizen cannot be employed within this period, they are recognized as unemployed, after which the documents are sent to the Pension Fund. From the month following the appointment of the pension, payments of unemployment benefits are terminated.
