Andijan opens street of gastronomic tourism for 18 bln soums

A project to create a 1.2-kilometer-long street of gastronomic tourism has been implemented in the Urikzor mahalla of Andijan city. The project covers Mashrab and Sarikuy streets. The total cost of the project amounted to 18 billion soums, of which 8 billion soums were allocated from the republican budget, and 10 billion soums were provided by entrepreneurs. The facility has pedestrian and bicycle paths, landscaping, fountains, lighting elements, as well as sports, environmental children's playgrounds and family recreation areas.

There are 35 trade facilities on the street, where 30 business entities provide services around the clock. During the project implementation, 100 jobs were created. The territory is designed to accommodate more than 10,000 residents and tourists per day. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the created infrastructure, communicating with citizens and businesses.
