Saida Mirziyoyeva held meetings at the UN General Assembly session in New York

The head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as representatives of DFC and Google, within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Saida Mirziyoyeva reported on the meeting with the UN Secretary-General in her Telegram channel. According to her, the parties discussed areas of joint development of Uzbekistan and the organization, while the head of the Administration thanked Guterres for his leadership and support for the country in key areas of security.

As the UzA agency reports, on the sidelines of the session, Mirziyoyeva held talks with the CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Ben Black. The parties considered joint projects in the transport and healthcare sectors, which are at the implementation stage.

In addition, a meeting was held with Google Vice President Karan Bhatia, where the possibility of launching YouTube monetization in Uzbekistan was discussed. According to the head of the Presidential Administration, the improvement of legislation in the field of digital payments and personal data processing creates conditions for access to international payment systems.
