In Tashkent, a verdict was passed on a teenager for hitting a traffic police inspector

The Mirabad district criminal court of Tashkent sentenced a 16-year-old teenager to 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment in the case of a fatal accident involving a traffic police inspector. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent city courts.

The court hearing was held in closed mode. The minor was found guilty under part 3 of article 104 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (intentional serious bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim). When making the decision, the court also applied article 85 of the Criminal Code, which regulates the procedure for punishing minors. The imprisonment term is calculated from the day of detention - February 27, 2026.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred on February 25 in the Mirabad district of the capital. The teenager driving a BMW M4 car did not obey the demand of traffic police officer Khosilbek Eschnazarov to stop on Nukus street, tried to escape and hit the inspector. The victim died in the hospital from the injuries received.

After the verdict was announced, the parties to the process were explained the procedure for appealing it, as well as the possibility of filing lawsuits in a civil court to recover material and moral damage.
